Pricing Policy
I do not demand any payments up front!
I do not ask for a single penny until the work has been completed to a standard that you are happy to have seen by your customers.
Many people have told me that this is brave. I do not see why you should be required to pay an advance to a stranger. I do not take on work that I cannot complete to a high standard. I see no risk in this strategy and it should give you some confidence to let me quote for your work.
You have nothing to lose!
New websites and website rebuilds
There is no reliable method of ascertaining what a website is going to cost per page. Sadly, life is not that simple. Every site is different in terms of size, content, presentation, levels of accessibility/search engine optimisation required and navigation structure.
Once the website is approved by yourself as being suitable to 'Launch' for your customers then payment is due in full. If I have brought your website to the point that you are happy for it to represent you on the web then I have done my job.
I will finish off any details that remain after launch. Once the cheque has cleared then all copyright and ownership will be yours.
Animated content
If you wish to have animated content on your pages the cost depends upon your requirements. If part of the code can be re-used on other pages this minimises the cost somewhat. The price of animated content is based upon the amount of time that it takes to create and any difficulty in obtaining the images which need animating.
Do not shy away from this. Too much animated content on a page looks garish. In the right places it can be the making of a page.
Search Engine Optimisation
Optimisation for search engines is built in during construction, but to remain effective long term, or improve, it has to be checked and fine tuned on a quarterly basis.

depending upon the coding and content of the existing pages.
Price On Application.
Payment
For Search Engine Optimisation work not carried out as part of a website build/rebuild, payment is due after the initial coding faze has been completed.
I will then revue the site and its search engine placement every three months and tweak the site as necessary to improve search engine placements over the remainder of the year.
Accessibility work
Accessibility can be provided at three different levels. Level one accessibility is a minimum requirement that comes built in to all of my work. I build legislative conformity into all of the projects that I work on.
When accessibility work is performed upon an existing website, payment becomes due as soon as the site passes the required accessibility level.
Quotations and Payment.
Once I have a workable specification for the work that you would like me to perform I can develop a price quotation for you. All prices are valid for one calendar month from the date of issue.
A final thought if I may. It is always good advice to check on some of the details above if you decide to go elsewhere. Contract tie-ins and copyright issues can become very expensive.
Advance payments of up to fifty percent before a keyboard is touched are the normal order of the day in this industry. That is a lot to lose if you do not like the end product.
