Search Engine Optimisation
The extent of the search engine optimisation that you require should depend upon the answer to the question, "Where are you counting upon getting your site visitors from?"
Answer that question honestly and I can give you a much better idea of what level of optimisation is necessary.
All main pages on any project that I undertake will receive initial optimisation on the main pages during the building phase.
See the Pricing Policy for current prices.
The level of optimisation required to ensure that your website is found, indexed and findable using local terms for a search engine query is achievable if care is taken during the preparation and design stages.
It is not just the content of the page that matters. The layout and standard of the coding is very important!
If you need to compete for the attention of search engines on a national basis and for a more common search term then you are going to spend more money.
This site for example does not do very well nationally in the search engine rankings. "Why?", I hear you ask, "Are you not a website designer?" Obviously I am but the top rankings in this field will be taken by websites operated by teams of professionals who have to ensure top page placements for their pages to justify their massive fees. Even at the cost of almost constantly re-optimising their own sites. Only in exceptional cases can the best efforts of an individual outweigh the product of teamwork.
You probably arrived at this website either from a link directly from a website that I have worked upon, or from a banner advert on a site that takes part in my Referal Program. This 'click through' principle works well for me, though recommendations from satisfied customers remain my main stock in trade.
If you are expecting to need the likes of Google and Yahoo to provide most of your website traffic then realistically every main page needs to be well optimised and a site-wide strategy undertaken. This will require the site to be tweeked regularly for the purpose of improving your placement in the search engine results pages (SERP's).
To provide this service I would need to check your pages in the search engines quarterly and optimise further as necessary.
