A lot of key work is performed during the project preparation phase of the build. While details are being confirmed with the client and the initial pages are being considered for navigation, search engine optimisation and accessibility purposes there will not be a lot of visual design to see.

The finished look of the website is always the first thing on the mind of the client and the last thing that the designer realistically does! The reason for this is that everything else that needs doing has a bearing on the presentation. If we dived straight into the design and presentation the resulting website would not be up to our usual high standards.
